Vance Wood, a knowledgeable controller for 41 years, is the owner of Wood Tax and Business Service in Terrell, Texas. Prior to working at Wood Tax and Business Service, Vance held various positions including holding the position of Controller for the past 14 years for large corporation in Dallas. His experience has uniquely positioned him to prepare simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses, payroll services, business bookkeeping and other filings with states and counties. He has received the “Employee of the Year” award for four years and “Outstanding Achievement Award” for 3 years at his last company. Vance understands what is important to our clients regarding the financial security of their business and their family’s peace of mind.

Vance also finds time to volunteer in his community and is a member of the Terrell Chamber of Commerce. He was the Treasurer for a domestic violence non-profit and also for “Camp Jubilee” sponsored by Children’s Medical Center. He also volunteered as a counselor at the Camp. If Vance has any free time left, he is an avid “42” player.
